[ skills/abilities + head-cannon ]

[ Special: ]

Charmer/Smooth Talker: she knows how to make a good impression, steer a conversation, and negotiate for what she wants. She's a skilled manipulator and liar, as well as capable of talking herself out of (or into) dangerous situations.

Petite: Sally is a very tiny woman; five foot three in six inch heels, and quite lithe. Part of my interpretation of this trait comes from her worsening malnourishment (and drug habit) from her teenage years into adulthood. I also imagine she would have very brittle bones.

All Thumbs: though Sally wanted to take shop class with the boys, she wasn't allowed because sexism. She also purposefully refused to learn to sew in an attempt to rebel against her mother trying to turn her into a housewife. She does know how to make some very basic items like water filters, but they don't always work properly, as shown when she busted a pipe she was trying to fix.

Chemist/Alchemist/Double Double: Sally is referred to as a chemical genius, because she can make things that no one else can even with questionable/unstable supply of ingredients. She can also make more drugs out of less ingredients, making her a very thrifty potions master indeed.

Frenzy: When Sally is extremely injured she suddenly becomes like a wild animal backed into a corner. Her attacks get vicious and she seems to possess an unnatural strength for a such a tiny woman.

[ Survival: ]

Trackstar: Constantly running for your life tends to make one a good runner. Sally's naturally very fast but she's also greatly enhanced her stamina with a ton of dexipam, allowing her to run faster and longer than most humans can. Lots and lots of stamina can be good for other things too

Haggler/Hustler: Sally combines her charm and salesmanship with negotiation and manipulation to always get the best possible deals when it comes to buying and selling goods/resources. She makes friends very quickly, but she's also not afraid to take what she wants if she has to.

Hauler: She can carry a lot more weight than it looks like she can. I think this comes from having to scavenge so meticulously to keep herself and Gwen alive. She always needed so many things (for Gwen, for herself, for her drugs ) that in her running around everywhere she ended up carrying a lot on her person. Useful supplies couldn't be passed up. Also she may have some slight additional strength by the blessing of a goddess but it's real low key don't even worry about it

Craftsman: Though Sally has trouble building things, in the game we do see her repair her broken lab equipment by herself. This trait also involves Sally's crafted weapons last twice as long as they should. I interpret this like Sally is stubborn and will teach herself things she doesn't understand by failing at them three million times to figure out how to do things the best way not to suck at it.

Iron Stomach/Hardy/Tireless: Due to non-rotten food being super rare, Sally developed the ability to eat rotten food without getting violently ill. It's still an unpleasant process. When she does it, it gives her energy for much longer than a typical human. Sleep functions the same way-- she needs about half as much sleep as a typical human. So eating once a day and sleeping for 4 hours is perfectly fine for her. When she doesn't eat or sleep even that much it takes her a really long time to start feeling unwell.

Herbalist/Picky Picky: Sally knows enough about Herbology to be able to make very effective healing salves from certain kinds of roses and berries. She also knows enough about harvesting to be able to get the most out of each botanical sample

Lucky Me: In game she finds better loot so I just kind of interpret this as Sally having luck tattooed to her ass

High Tolerance: Highs last longer but cause less damage that's not how high tolerance works but fine w/e

[ Stealth: ]

Sweet Dreams: If Sally is undetected she can knock someone unconscious with an injection or a spritz of chemicals, but she's also smothered people unconscious in their beds. She'd adaptable like that, but fighting head on is not her strong suit when she is so physically frail

Ear to the Ground: Sally has exceptional hearing and has trained herself to recognize the sound of footsteps even from great distances (for example, being in the second story of a small house and hearing people walking down the street outside)

Back Stabber: If Sally chooses a physical weapon over a chemical one, and remains undetected upon approach, she can cause a lot of damage in a single strike. She knows the squishy vital bits to aim for when given the chance.

Sneak Thief: Sally is practiced in lockpicking, breaking and entering, silent movement, sneaking, cat burglary and fencing stolen items

[ head-cannon: ]

Weapons of Choice: Sleeptite Atomizer, Hallucinex Atomizer, Eager Cleaver

Hoarder: In game it was super beneficial to scavenge a lot of resources and create/carry a lot of items in preparation for whatever new fuckery was going to threaten Sally that day. She carried around canteens, food, weapons, medical supplies, and salvage like metal tubes and cloth scraps. Also drugs, various outfits (social conformity and proper burglary attire both being important) and a bunch of other stuff. She always had to be supplied and ready for anything. I feel like the habit would carry.

Gardener: Sally uses a lot of plants for ingredients in her chemical concoctions, as well as she mentions she enjoyed being in her mum's garden with her sisters, so I feel like it's reasonable to imagine her starting her own garden. Especially in cases where the plants she needs don't grow in the wild like back at home. She grows Roses of Gilead, Night Blooming Nonsuches, Rowan Berries, YAMS, and lillies. She does need foxglove for her recipes but due to her past she doesn't grow them in her flower garden.

Gloves: Nothing about Sally's gloves is ever spoken about explicitly in game but she has a few different outfits available and they all feature some different kind of gloves. This is significant because the other main characters do not. The only time you see her not wearing some kind of gloves is when she tends to Gwen (feeding, changing, cuddling, and so on) so I imagine that to be significant. I imagine it's meaningful if she makes the conscious decision to take them off because, because clearly she has a preference for wearing them/keeping them on.

Hair: Sally wears a hat in game so you don't really get to see her hair aside from the fact that it's short. I imagine that as part of her mother's tyrannical attempt to turn her into a proper woman, Sally's mother may have had instances about her hair. So in retaliation, Sally cut her hair really short and kind of messy, so the barber couldn't do much to it. And she kept doing it when it grew a bit so her mom couldn't ever force her to get a 'proper cut for a lady'. Sally revolts against other attempts her mother has made to turn her into a housewife, so I don't think this explanation is too far fetched.
